Call for papers Bestseller and Blockbuster Culture – Books, Cinema and Television

Dear IRSCL members,

Please find attached the call for papers for the annual Child & the Book postgraduate conference. The next edition will take place from 21 to 23 March 2013 at the University of Padua – Italy.

The main theme for the conference is «Children’s Literature, Technology and Imagination. Research, Problems and Perspectives.» Scholars can combine it with a visit to the Bologna Children’s Book fair.

Abstracts are due by 15 November 2012.

Deadline for sbmitting abstracts for the 21^st biennial conference of the International Research Society for Children’s literature on “Children’s Literature and Media Cultures” has been postponed until November 15, 2012.

The conference will take place on August 10-14, 2013, Maastricht, The Netherlands.

Konferansen vil sette fokus på avantgardisme, surrealisme og kunsteriske eksperimenter i bildebøker og bøker for barn.

This is the third of three conferences aimed at producing a website and edited collections to provide teachers, academics, and the interested public with a rich and diverse resource of materials on childhood, children’s culture and children’s literature in the period 1890-1919.

Vilnius University and Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania invite established and young literary scholars, book historians, librarians and university teachers to participate in an international conference.

The Conference is supported by the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences
