I festsalen i Banken i Lillehammer under Norsk Litteraturfestival var flere skoleklasser og ungdomslitteraturinteresserte samlet torsdag 22. mai. Alle spente på hvem som skulle vinne U-prisen for 2013.

I august 2014 startar Norsk barnebokinstitutt opp eit nytt nettstudium i samtidslitteratur. Studiet er retta mot bibliotektilsette, lærarar, kritikarar og andre som arbeider med undervising og formidling, og har som mål å styrke kunnskapen om ny barne- og ungdomslitteratur.

Celia Turrión arbeider som doktorgradsstipendiat ved Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Artikkelen i Barnelitterært Forskningstidsskrift bygger på doktorgradsprosjektet Digital children’s literature: production, uses, readers, reception and teaching practices.
Prøysen-jubileet 2014: Teskjekjerringa – en internasjonal suksess som kommer i stadig nye utgaver.
Den første fortellingen om Teskjekjerringa ble publisert i Kooperatøren i 1954. Kooperatøren var et medlemsblad for Samvirkelagene, hvor Alf Prøysen skrev og selv illustrerte de første historiene. I 1955 brukte han fortellingene om Teskjekjerringa i Barnetimen for de minste for første gang.
Affordances of an App – A reading of The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore
«In a relatively short time, apps have become highly popular as a platform for children’s fiction. The majority of media attention to these apps has focused on their technical features. There has been less focus on their aesthetic aspects, such as how interactive elements, visual-verbal arrangements and narration are interrelated. This article investigates how a reading of a «picturebook app» may differ from readings of the narratives found in printed books and movies. The discussion will be anchored in an analysis of the iPad app The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore. This app, which is an adaptation of an animated short film, relates the story of a book lover who becomes the proprietor of a magical library.»
