Den lille larven har spist seg til en pris

På bokmessen i Bologna 2015 vant My Very Hungry Caterpillar (Den lille larven aldrimett) av Eric Carle BOLOGNA RAGAZZI DIGITAL AWARD. Det er StoryToys fra Irland som har laget en ny animert app av historien om den sultne larven.

 

 

Juryen sier dette om vinneren:
My Very Hungry Caterpillar is the overall 2015 winner, brilliantly extending a much-loved work from children’s literature into the digital world, with story-appropriate, deeply immersive interactivity. The app is full of humour and surprises, as you help your Caterpillar grow. It is also brilliantly executed, with seamless engineering and 3D visual design. It succeeds in communicating entirely without words and bring new depth to a classic work of children’s literature. Unlike previous attempts to bring a famous children’s character to the screen, this app puts the child in the center of the action, assisting the caterpillar through each stage of life.

Prisen presenteres slik:
A spotlight on innovation and excellence in children’s digital publishing, on a global level. New technologies have given children’s storytellers creative opportunities to practice their crafts; the BolognaRagazzi Digital Award is designed to identify and promote innovation and development in digital publishing. In this BolognaRagazzi Digital Award edition 258 entries from 176 publishers and 37 countries have been considered.

The award is open to publishers and developers in any language or platform, of apps made for children aged from 2 to 15 years old. It is free, and open to any publisher. Categories of participation are Fiction and Non Fiction. The prize is organized in cooperation with the Children’s Technology Review (USA) and the jury members are international digital publishing experts and illustrators.
